Prostar M was born to fulfill that responsibility.
ProstarM has the solution for any facility, whether it is a modern, high-end urban facility that requires a reliable and quality power backup system or a facility in a remote village or town that needs an economical solution to guard against frequent power outages.
2008- We found a solution that fits the Indian climate & customer.
Could we build a power-backup solution that meets the challenges of the Indian business climate and the price expectations of the Indian customer? This was the question that brought ProstarM founders together. The founder, Ram Agarwal, along with co-founders, Vikas Agarwal, Tapan Ghose and Raghu Shastri, formally launched the company, Prostar Micronova Power Systems Pvt Ltd on January 11, 2008. The company was born in Pune to provide a single-point power solution for Indian businesses.
2009- The small local innovation then had a national influence.
We started out by providing UPS systems to local businesses in and around Pune. Within a year of our establishment, ProstarM's low-cost UPS systems were connected to every plug in several additional cities across India. We pushed our products into the BFSI industry, and top-line revenue began to increase. At the same time, we received the prestigious ISO 9001 ranking, and the Environmental Management Systems Certificate awarded by Moody International. ProstarM was now set to spread its wings.
2010-2012- We took on tasks with a lot more responsibility as we progressed.
At one point along the way, we realized that the necessity for reliable ATM operation was vital to the growth of the banking sector. An ATM machine becoming stuck in the middle of a transaction proved inconvenient for both banks and clients. We decided to take on the challenge and created custom UPS systems for banks as well as an end-to-end solution for ATM rooms. We began implementing total infrastructure/implementation solutions (TIS) at competitive pricing points for major banks and ATMs. Following that, we successfully completed many large-scale projects and became preferred vendors for major global MSPs.
2013-2016- We were now ready for tougher challenges.
By 2013, there was barely an area in India where a ProstarM had not supplied a power electronic solution, and there was hardly a location where we could not reach within 48 hours after receiving a call. ProstarM's power electronic systems provide reliable power backup in every area of India, from Leh to Kanyakumari, and Porbandar to Papum in the North Eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh. During this time, we also hit two major milestones, propelling the company into the big leagues.
The first major accomplishment was the effective deployment of 7800 SBI ATMs across India, a massive operation worth Rs 100 crore.
The second milestone was forming a collaboration with a government-approved Systems Integrator (SI) to provide Power Solutions, including partial TIS, to a famous Maharashtra government-sponsored School Project. This Rs 10 crore project was critical to ProstarM's branding and positioning.
2017-2019- We empower India's core!
The exciting potential and growing confidence drew us to expand into the core industry, which requires an unrivaled dedication to excellence in both service and technology. ProstarM UPS and renewable power solutions were now powering India's core businesses, from banks to multinational firms and public sector enterprises such as BARC and DRDO.
2020- We become a part of New India's high-speed development!
ProstarM was a part of a historic milestone in India this year when it secured the order for power electronics solutions for the new bullet train. We had more than one reason to celebrate this accomplishment because ProstarM has now reached a significant revenue milestone for the first time in its existence.
In addition, the company's offerings will be enhanced in 2020. ProstarM now provides sustainable energy backup power choices such as solar inverters and solar panels. We also launched UPS power backup systems with new generation lithium ion batteries in 2020. Because of their small size and high backup power, these systems are the way of the future.
